What you said made a bunch of sense. But, think about this, suppose you added a little content? I ain't saying your information isn't good., but suppose you added a title to possibly grab folk's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You could glance at Yahoo's home page and note how they create article headlines to get viewers to open the links. You might add a video or a related pic or two to get people excited about everything've got to say. Just my opinion, it could make your website a little livelier.
